Great Ocean Road War Memorial

Our main Picture is a statue of the returned World War One soldiers building the Great Ocean Road.

The Great Ocean Road was dedicated a War Memorial during the Official Opening Ceremony in 1932 by Victorias Lieutenant Governor Sir William Irvine. It is the Largest War Memorial in The World and a fitting tribute to our gallant soldiers who fought in World War One.

Ocean Road Tours has great pleasure describing the story of our troops in WW1 and entertaining and Educating our guests with stories of Gallantry and Heroism. The forging of the Great Aussie Spirit was due, in no small part, by the actions of our brave young men helping to “Save The Empire”

During a tour with Ocean Road Tours, we spend a good amount of time at Memorial Arch, often on our Own due to Our Early Departure, where this Stunning Statue can be seen.
Sometimes the weather is not “Perfect” as you can see in the Double Rainbow we can see off the coast of Lorne however, this particular day turned out to be Brilliant as the weather cleared ( as is often does) to give us a Sunny Day along the coast and Brilliant Sunshine while visiting the 12 Apostles and Loch Ard Gorge.

As in most of our tours we caught up with one of our Feathered Friends. The Stunning King Parrot was enjoying having Breakfast out of the Hands of one of Our Travelers while the rest of our group was taking Brilliant Photos of a Koala so close you could touch it in the trees nearby.

Home Cooked lunch enjoyed by our guests included Barramundi, Steak Sandwiches, Quiche, a Giant Burger and Spinach and Ricotta Filo Pastries. These Brilliant Home Cooked lunches kept our guests fueled up until our Early Return to the City just before 6pm.
