Winter is stunning on the Great Ocean Road

We often get the best morning light along the stunning sandstone coastline on the Great Ocean Road, Due to our early tour start.

The sun creeps over the horizon and The Kangaroos are getting ready to go to bed. We detour, momentarily off the Great Ocean Road, to visit one of the best 180o lookouts along the entire road. The light is perfect and the sun shines, illuminating this magnificent coastline.

We are the only tour group to visit here, and we enjoy the solitude.

With the glowing backdrop of the Sandstone Coastline we eye a lone surfer, also enjoying the solitude and serenity of the location.

This is the Surf Coast section of the Great Ocean Road and when the surf is “up” we take it all in with some very special lookouts only a small tour can enter. The Great Ocean Road comes alive when the surf is rolling in.

With a back drop of threatening clouds, London Bridge shines like a beacon in the afternoon sunshine.
