Winter Surf and a Big Point Break

Remember the movie Point Break with Keanu Reeves and Patrick Swayze. The final scenes were reported to be at Bells Beach, the World Famous surf beach along the Great Ocean Road. The 50 year swell was going to arrive and be the biggest waves they were ever going to Surf. Well we see those kinds of waves most winters.

Winter means a later sunrise and while we await the sun to shine on the Great Ocean Road tour along Highway B100 we will search for some eastern Grey Kangaroos near Bells Beach.

We look for Kangaroos in the bush on every trip

We do get sunny days during Autumn and with our Early departures we get to the Filale at the best time of the day for lighting. The Light, Shadows and position of the sun are perfect for the mid day when we arrive.
